STYLECASTER IS HIRING AN EDITORIAL INTERN

We’re looking for an ambitious, talented, and creative editorial intern to assist the STYLECASTER beauty team (and fashion and lifestyle teams, if you have a passion for them!) during the fall season. Ideally, interns will start ASAP in September and end in December, with the option of staying on through the winter semester. The perfect candidate must have both the energy and desire to work in a fast-paced digital environment, and no, you won’t be stuck in a windowless closet doing returns all day—all interns will have major opportunities to pitch and write articles, go to fashion and beauty events, conduct celebrity interviews, and more.

LOCATION: NYC

THE WORK:

-Brainstorm new ideas for content; write articles and slideshows

-Research and size photos for articles

-Attend beauty/fashion events and interview prominent influencers

-Assist on photo shoot days in the studio

-Some editorial duties, like fact checking, interviewing, transcribing, and copy editing

THE VERY IMPORTANT FINE PRINT:

-Must be a student currently enrolled in college and able to receive college credit for internship hours

-Background in English, journalism, creative writing, mass communications, or related field is a must

-Basic knowledge of Photoshop is a plus; Microsoft Outlook, and Word

-Must possess solid communication skills, both verbal and written

-Must have strong organization and deadline management skills

-Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word

-Must be a team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude

-You know how to have fun: We are a fun staff, and we genuinely love what we do, so charisma, a sense of humor and a thirst for learning new things will help

TO APPLY:

DO NOT apply unless you are currently enrolled in college, can receive college credit, and have relevant experience. We cannot and will not make exceptions. If you meet these requirements and those explained in the “FINE PRINT” section, please send us your resume (no cover letter necessary) by 8/10/17, and please make sure to include in the body of the email your earliest start date, the number of days you can work per week, and your suggested end date. Thanks so much!
